Terms of Service
1. The service
Locatube (the “Service”) is an iPhone app provided by 데브스튜디오 (devs7udio) (the “Operator”). Pick a place on the map and see travel videos about it; videos play in the official YouTube embedded player. By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
2. Eligibility
The Service is for people aged 14 or older. Under Korean law, children under 14 cannot give personal information without a legal guardian’s consent, and the Service is not directed to children. Please sign in only if you are 14 or older. Viewing the map and videos does not require signing in.
3. Accounts and deletion
- You can sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook, and in Korea also with Kakao or Naver. What each provider gives us is listed in section 3 of the Privacy Policy.
- An account is needed only to save favorites and watch history. Account security depends on the provider account you sign in with.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app under Account, then Delete account. Your account, favorites and watch history are deleted (a Sign in with Apple link is revoked, and other providers are asked to remove the connection), and this cannot be undone.
- We may restrict use if you break these terms, for example by using someone else’s account or disrupting the Service.
4. YouTube content
- Videos, titles, thumbnails and similar content shown in the Service belong to their creators, YouTube, or other rights holders. The Operator does not store or re-upload videos; they are shown only through the official YouTube embedded player.
- The Service uses YouTube API Services. By using Locatube you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google’s Privacy Policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
- If a video is removed, made private, or blocked from embedding, it may not be available in the Service. You can open it directly on YouTube.
- The Operator does not guarantee the content, accuracy or legality of any video. If you suspect an infringement, tell us through Contact.
5. Location and place accuracy
Place names and coordinates are extracted automatically from public video descriptions and then geocoded, so they may be wrong or out of date (closed or moved places, places with the same name, and so on). Map information is for reference only. Please check opening status, safety and local rules yourself before you travel. Your location is used only for the “near me” search and Locatube does not save it (see the Privacy Policy).
6. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- send excessive requests to the Service or its servers, collect data in bulk by automated means, or try to bypass security;
- reverse engineer, modify or redistribute the Service (except where the law allows);
- cover or alter the YouTube player, separate or download audio or video, or block ads;
- break the law or infringe the rights of others.
7. Intellectual property
The Operator owns the app, logo, design, and the place information and compilations created by the Service. You get a non-exclusive licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. Map data includes © OpenStreetMap contributors data under the ODbL and other licences. Open-source software and third-party fonts follow their own licences.
8. No warranty; limits of liability
- The Service is provided “as is”. The Operator does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
- To the extent allowed by law, and except in cases of intent or gross negligence, the Operator is not liable for losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service, problems with third-party services (YouTube, Apple, map and infrastructure providers), or errors in place information.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under consumer protection law.
9. Changes to the service
The Operator may add, change or stop features. If a change significantly affects you, we will tell you in the app or on this site in advance. The app is currently free to use.
10. Changes to these terms
We will announce changes on this site at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes that are unfavorable to you). If you keep using the Service after that date, you accept the changed terms. If you do not accept them, delete your account and stop using the Service.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes related to the Service fall under the jurisdiction of the Korean courts that have jurisdiction under applicable law.
